Life modelling - process
During working on the life-size life modelling project, I took over 500 photos of the working process, only some of which are shown here. Starting from welding the backiron and sawing down the armature wires to finishing with clay modelling the tiniest details of finger nails, the entire process took me over 6months (on and off), and the actual work itself weighted around 150kg. The work itself has now been destroyed after moulds were taken from it, waiting to be cast at some point. Due to the limited amount of time allowed with the life model, Lucy, I have worked from a number of photographs I took of Lucy as well as from life.
